I had been living in the West End, renting a great Beach Avenue apartment
for a couple of years, but had been thinking frequently about getting into
the market and buying for the first time. I knew several realtors, but they
were all in my home town of Maple Ridge and I didn\'t feel confident that any
of them knew the market in Vancouver, and more specifically - the quality of
the buildings and potential for problems.

I had been considering buying a condo for some time, and when I finally decided to buy, Ryan came highly recommended from a colleague and I was not dissappointed.

He was very responsive to my wish list and did an excellent job of managing my expectations in the real estate market. He set me up on his automatic e-mail list and called regularly to follow up. And, if I saw a listing or a building on my own that I was curious about, I asked Ryan to look into it for me. This recommendation had been inspired by Ryan Taylor's service relating to the sale of our home. We met Ryan when the idea of downsizing was, for us, a distant possibility. In spite of the fact that Ryan knew we would not be moving soon, he signed on as our agent. He provided prompt professional service by sending us e-copies of house listings that were similar to the house we were selling and also to the ones that we were interested in buying. When we saw a home we were interested in, Ryan arranged a viewing at which he was present.

Once we made the decision to sell, Ryan and his contractors worked up a very professional web presentation of our home. He also held one open house. The house sold in five days. Ryan also acted as our representative for the purchase of our new townhouse. I would venture to say that his negotiating skills enlarged the spread between the selling price and buying price of our old/new homes.
